The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Psychology to begin Fall 2025. We seek a faculty member with high level training, expertise, and teaching interest in undergraduate and graduate statistics.
We prefer someone whose substantive research area is related to conducting innovative social neuroscience research; we encourage candidates with strong quantitative interests and experience to apply regardless of social psychology content area. With regard to our preference for social neuroscience, we would be most excited by a faculty member whose research involves human neuroimaging, neuroendocrine, psychoneuroimmunological, or other cutting-edge neuroscientific approaches. We will prioritize applicants whose program of research uses these techniques in areas that complement strengths in our department, including social hierarchies, health, person perception and discrimination/stereotyping/prejudice and who can contribute to our joint Social Psychology/Neuroscience PhD program.
The teaching requirements for this position include the graduate general statistics series, with opportunities to develop and teach advanced statistics seminars (Bayesian, linear mixed models, machine learning models), undergraduate and graduate content seminars, undergraduate statistics, introductory social psychology, social neuroscience, and other classes in service to the department’s teaching mission.
