The Department of Psychology at Stony Brook University invites applications for the SUNY Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) Fellowship Program which focuses on two primary goals (1) increasing the number and share of excellent diverse faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (2) strengthening the pipeline for retention and support of these candidates.
PRODiG+ is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the lecturer level at the annual salary of $ 80,000 including full benefits to commence Fall 2025.
The fellow will be a part of a mentored research environment with a reduced teaching load. At the completion of this two-year position, fellows with an upward trajectory of scholarly achievement and a demonstrated contribution to inclusion, diversity, and equity will be invited to join the tenure-track faculty at Stony Brook University through an internal promotion process.
The PRODiG+ Fellow will join the department of psychology in one of our four program areas: clinical psychology, cognitive science, integrative neuroscience, or social and health. We are seeking a Fellow whose academic scholarship, preferably, fits within the area of “Diversity Science and Health Disparities.” Candidates must have demonstrated plans to contribute to inclusion, diversity and equity, excellence in innovative research (with the potential for funding), and potential to participate in the undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring mission of the psychology department.
