Clinical Research Coordinator – Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York, NY)

December 13, 2024

We seek a talented and motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to assist in conducting a new NIH-funded multidisciplinary study at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York, NY) in the areas of women’s mental health and psychoneuroendocrinology. The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry or mid-level human subjects researcher, responsible for conducting and assisting in human subjects research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Julie Spicer, and senior research staff. This position would be a great fit for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who has an interest or background in clinical psychology or psychiatry. Performing phlebotomy and local travel for study sessions taking place in the home will be required. Training in phlebotomy will be offered. Additionally, the individual will assist in the preparation and submission of applications (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office), research articles for publication, and data to meet archiving requirements. The majority of the individual’s time and effort will be allocated to conducting the funded study as described above, but the individual also will assist in ongoing lab projects as needed. The position is an excellent opportunity for training and often serves as a stepping stone to graduate school. Highly qualified and enthusiastic candidates are sought with previous experience and interest in any of the following: clinical and health psychology/neuroscience, women’s mental health, reproductive psychiatry and psychoneuroendocrinology.
