July 29, 2024

The Neuroeconomics Lab at Temple University (PI: David Smith; https://sites.temple.edu/neuroeconlab/) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate (start date negotiable). The postdoc will contribute to NIH-funded research that uses fMRI to examine age-related differences in social and economic decision making. The postdoc will also be encouraged and supported to develop independent lines of work and seek extramural funding via NIH and/or NSF or similar opportunities.

Desired Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have completed a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, economics, or a related discipline and have a strong publication record that includes neuroimaging studies. Strong writing and communication skills are required. Candidates with prior experience using advanced fMRI analysis methods (e.g., dynamic causal modeling, MVPA, representational similarity analysis) and data sharing (e.g., BIDS and OpenNeuro) are particularly attractive for this position. In addition, strong technical skills are preferred, including competence in Linux environments and familiarity with programs such as PsychoPy, Matlab, R, Python, SPM, and FSL is especially valued but would otherwise be learned on the job.
