The Laboratory for Darwinian Neuroscience at Emory University (PI: James Rilling) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on two research projects in the general area of social and affective neuroscience. The first project is an NIA-funded study to investigate the effect of cognitive empathy training on mental health, inflammation and immune function in caregivers of people living with dementia, and to examine the underlying psychological and neurobiological mechanisms. The second project is an NSF-funded study to examine the neural, hormonal and epigenetic changes that men experience when they transition to fatherhood and how this relates to paternal involvement and attachment.
