Based in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences, our lab studies how conversations shape the way people connect, change their minds, and learn.
Prospective students will have opportunities to explore questions such as: How do people develop new ideas and learn together? How do conversations build consensus or resolve conflict? And how do these processes change when we interact with AI?
We combine fMRI hyperscanning, natural language processing, and computational modeling to investigate the neural and cognitive processes underlying these interactions.
I’d love to hear from prospective students interested in social neuroscience, conversation, learning, AI, and computational approaches to understanding the mind.
Application deadline: December 1.
