The Social & Affective Neuroscience Society (SANS) is looking forward to our 2027 Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada, a special milestone as we celebrate 20 years of SANS!
We are looking for a creative logo that celebrates our 20-year milestone, captures the intersection of neuroscience and the vibrant, connected and distinctive feel of our host city, Montreal.
The winning design will be the official face of the conference—featured on our website, program, and our online merch store.
Competition Details
The winning entry will receive:
Official Recognition: Your work will be credited in the conference program and at the opening ceremony.
Merch Perk: Receive a complimentary item from our online store featuring your winning design.
Visibility: Your logo will be seen and worn by colleagues across the globe!
Visual Inspiration & Tips
To get those creative synapses firing, consider blending Montreal landmarks with neural motifs:
Neural Waves: Brain folds or EEG patterns flowing into the curves of the St-Lawrence River.
Connected Architecture: incorporate the lines of the Habitat 67, the Olympic Stadium or Old Montreal architecture to represent neural pathways or social connectivity.
The “Affective” Sunset: Consider a palette inspired by early spring in Montreal – cool blues, soft greens, and subtle warm tones to represent neural activity, renewal and human connection.
Design Guidelines:
Originality: Designs must be your own work and free of copyrighted material.
Versatility: Ensure the logo looks great in both full color and black & white.
Scalability: It should be clear on everything from a small enamel pin to a large stage banner.
