The Laboratory on Social & Affective Neuroscience directed by Abigail Marsh<http://www.abigailmarsh.com> is seeking a full-time paid research assistant to begin in fall of 2024 to conduct behavioral research related to empathy and prosocial behavior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a closely related discipline
- At least 1 year of experience working in a psychology or neuroscience research laboratory conducting empirical research with human subjects
- Quantitative training sufficient to conduct data cleaning and coding and preliminary data analysis, and training undergraduate research assistants in these tasks
- Human interaction skills for working with a team of researchers, university administrative staff, and study participants
- Self-directedness and excellent organizational skills
The research assistant position is a research and training position that is suitable for trainees who are anticipating applying for PhD programs in psychology (or a related discipline) or to research positions in industry after completing this position.
