On November 17th, we learned of the passing of Dr. Paul Ekman, who died peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by those close to him. 
Dr. Ekman’s research was profoundly influential in shaping our understanding of emotion and its physiological and cultural underpinnings.
His work inspired countless members of our community and laid the groundwork for myriad investigations of the neuroscience of emotion and social interactions.
