Postdoctoral Researcher in Affective Neuroscience and Neuromodulation

The Jiang Lab (PI: Dr. Jing Jiang, https://jingjiang.lab.uiowa.edu/) at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking 1-2 highly motivated postdoctoral researcher(s) (2-year term with the potential for extension) to conduct translational research at the intersection of neuroscience, electrophysiology, neuroimaging, brain stimulation, and psychiatry. Join us as we scale up our efforts to better understand how to modulate human brain circuits and promote the development of novel treatments to improve mental illness!

Requirements

  • Experience with neuroimaging and/or electrophysiological data analyses, e.g., in fMRI, (i)EEG, and/or brain networks
  • Proficiency in coding with MATLAB and/or Python
  • PhD and/or MD degree in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Psychiatry/Neurology, or a related field
  • A track record of peer-reviewed scientific journal publications
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, strong written and interpersonal communication skills
