Research Associate / Lab Manager Position in The Social and Cultural Neuroscience Lab directed by Liz Losin at University of Miami
The Social and Cultural Neuroscience Lab (PI: Elizabeth Losin), in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami is seeking a full time Research Associate (Lab Manager/ Research Assistant). We combine theory and methodology from anthropology, psychology, and neuroscience to understand the complex relationships between culture, the brain, and health. Learn more about our research and our team at<>. Lab manager/RA duties include:
1. Assisting with experimental task design and stimulus creation 2. Participant recruitment and behavioral and MRI data collection 3. Data organization and analysis 4. Lab administration 5. IRB protocol preparation and management 6. Assisting with grant and publication preparation Required qualifications:
1. Previous research experience (ideally in psychology or neuroscience) 2. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science, engineering or a related field 3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills 4. Undergraduate statistical training 5. Some programming exposure / experience Preferred qualifications:
1. Strong computational skills including statistical analysis and computer programming (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python) 2. Experience collecting and analyzing physiological and fMRI data 3. Experience interacting with research participants from diverse backgrounds 4. Spanish language proficiency
