Position Title/Description: Senior Scientist
The Hoglund Biomedical Imaging Center (HBIC) at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) is keen to recruit a qualified, experienced staff scientist to support cognitive neuroscience research. HBIC conducts imaging and psychophysiological research to understand disease, injury, and normal function in humans and animals. This position requires a doctoral degree. Candidates with a background in cognitive neuroscience (or related discipline) will be preferred. The successful applicant will join a team of faculty and staff imaging scientists who collaborate with investigators from KUMC and nearby academic institutions. This position is funded by Center resources. The HBIC serves as the core imaging facility for several NIH-funded Centers; Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Cancer Center, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center, and a Clinical and Translational Science Award Center and numerous federally-funded investigators. The successful candidate will 1) develop and implement experimental paradigms, 2) develop and implement analysis protocols, and 3) collaborate with outstanding research teams for HBIC research activities.
