Two Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professors in Psychology at the University of Minnesota Duluth

The Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota Duluth invites applicants for two (2) full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor positions, one in Developmental Psychology and one in Social Psychology. These appointments will commence August 22, 2022. 

We are seeking two teacher/scholars who are committed to excellence in collegiate teaching and who possesses the interest and ability to establish an active research program resulting in the creation and dissemination of knowledge.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. conduct effective undergraduate and graduate teaching
  2. actively engage in research with undergraduate and graduate students
  3. contribute to our Master’s program, including supervision of graduate student research projects and/or practicum students
  4. advise undergraduate and graduate students
  5. participate in departmental and university service

Social Psychology: The area of research specialty is open; however, to complement current faculty in the department, it is preferred that applicants have community-engaged or community-based research and scholarship. Candidates should be able to instruct courses in the department’s undergraduate (possible courses include social psychology, research methods, quantitative statistics, and courses in one’s area of specialization) and graduate ( see all possible courses ) programs.

Developmental Psychology: Preference will be given to applicants who will contribute to theoretically grounded, foundational research in one or more of the following areas: adult development, development across the lifespan, and/or geropsychology. Candidates should be able to instruct courses in the department’s undergraduate (possible courses include developmental psychology, psychopathology over the lifespan, research methods, quantitative statistics, and courses in one’s area of specialization) and graduate ( see all possible courses ) programs.
