The Adult Development & Decision (AD&D) Laboratory at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is hiring a full-time postdoctoral researcher who will lead behavioral experiments that examine the neurocognitive mechanisms of trust-related decision making in aging as part of our NIH-funded research program. We also welcome applicants with interest and expertise in human neuroimaging and computational modeling.
The AD&D Lab conducts research on neural mechanisms of decision making across the adult lifespan using behavioral tasks, self-report measures, biomarker sampling, computational modeling, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Current funded research projects focus on how people make decisions involving trust, risk factors for deception in aging and preclinical dementia, and the role of learning in determining trust-based decisions. The postdoc will take a central role in behavioral data collection and analysis at UCF (Orlando, FL), and in disseminating results through publications and presentations. The postdoc will also have the opportunity to develop publications from previously collected behavioral and fMRI data and contribute to fMRI data collection and analysis that will be conducted at the University of Florida (UF; Gainesville, FL) as part of this project.
The position will be supervised by Dr. Nichole Lighthall at UCF, in close collaboration with Dr. Natalie Ebner at UF and Dr. Bob Wilson at the University of Arizona. The initial position is a 2-year appointment, with subsequent renewals depending on funding availability. Preferred start will be during summer 2022, but is negotiable. In addition to salary, the postdoc will also receive a $5,000 research/travel allowance provided by a grant from the UCF Preeminent Postdoc Program.

Required Qualifications: (1) Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. (2) Research experience in any of the following topics: decision making, learning/memory, social cognition, or cognitive aging (experience in more than one of these topics is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications: (1) Coding experience (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R). (2) Experience with computational modeling. (3) Experience with fMRI research.
