Postdoctoral Position, Laboratory of Sex/Gender-Informed Translational Neuroscience, Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital

August 22, 2022

A postdoctoral position is open in the research group of Dr. Primavera A. Spagnolo at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The laboratory focuses on understanding and targeting sex-specific and sex-differentiating neuromechanisms underlying psychiatric conditions, with a focus on stress-related psychiatric disorders (i.e., post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, conversion disorders and addiction). Specific research interests include sex-differences in the effects of the endocannabinoid system on stress response; the effects of early life adversity on addiction-related brain circuitry in males and females; sex-differences in endocannabinoid-mediated inflammatory processes in PTSD. We use a multimodal approach, including behavior analysis, pharmacology, and functional brain imaging-based methods.  Interested candidates should email a cover letter, CV, and 3 references to Dr. Spagnolo.
