This person will play a key role in running our clinical studies and tackling interesting scientific problems.
About BAND Lab: We believe the key to mental health and well-being starts with strong relationships. Our mission is to develop novel pharmacological and psychological interventions for mental illness that enable patients to strengthen their connections to other people and the world. We are interested in how pharmacological treatments that affect social processes can be paired with psychosocial treatments to possibly achieve synergistically enhanced outcomes. Therefore, with philanthropic and grant support, we are conducting several studies combining drugs with psychotherapy to target difficult to treat psychiatric conditions including schizophrenia, depression in bipolar affective disorder, anxiety and depression in Parkinson’s Disorder, and chronic pain. We are also a site for the Usona-funded clinical trial of psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder.
Start dates are variable and this position will be filled in a rank and series commensurate with experience. Initially, work will be remote. Once in-person clinical research activities at UCSF and the SFVA resume, this position will require on-site work.
