The German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) is a member of the Leibniz Association. The institute’s mission is to conduct experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health, with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases, and of developing new strategies for treatment and prevention. We invite applications for the Department of Decision Neuroscience and Nutrition<www.dife.de/en/research/departments-and-labs/decision-neuroscience-and-nutrition/> (DNN), formed as part of a joint appointment with the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin for

These strategies and underlying mechanisms will be investigated in healthy and clinical populations. This highly interdisciplinary research requires a systematic combination of neural, (fMRI, EEG, NIRS), physiological (SCR, HR, Eye movements) and metabolic data (i.e. hormones).
* Planning and implementation of research projects and analysis of multimodal data (neuronal, physiological, metabolic and behavioral data) using current and innovative methods (e.g. behavioral modelling, MVPA) * Presentation of research results (in scientific journals, colloquia and conferences)
Requirements and Skills
* Excellent master and doctoral degree in psychology, cognitive science, biology, computer science, medicine or an equivalent discipline * Relevant research experience or interest in the field of “Decision Neuroscience” or Neuroeconomics * Knowledge of neuroscientific methods (fMRI, EEG, MEG or NIRS) and/or in psychophysics would be of great advantage * Programming skills in Matlab and experience in advanced statistical analyses (e.g. machine learning) * Knowledge of behavioral modeling would be of great advantage * High motivation and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration in a versatile research environment in an international team The advertised positions are available for 3 years.
