The Social-Health and Affective Neuroscience Lab (PI: Tristen Inagaki) at San Diego State University (SDSU) is seeking up to two full-time lab managers to lead the oversight of neuroimaging studies on the topic of social connection and to assist with the day-to-day management of the lab. In-depth training opportunities to conduct studies that link brain measures with naturalistic feelings and behavior are part of the position. Therefore, prior neuroimaging experience is not required.
Candidates with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, attention to detail and a high level of motivation for a research-related career preferred. Candidates should also be comfortable interacting with individuals from a variety of demographic groups. The positions are best suited for candidates with a BA/BS degree in psychology, neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, or a related area.
SDSU is a Hispanic-Serving Institution and a federally-designated AANAPISI. External research funding, including funding to support the current positions, is managed by the SDSU Research Foundation (SDSURF). The lab is part of the Department of Psychology’s MA program and the shared doctoral training program in Clinical Psychology with neighboring UCSD.
