TT Faculty Position
The Psychology Department invites applicants for a full-time tenure track assistant professor position beginning August 2023. This is an open position, but preference will be given to candidates who can teach Health Psychology or Cognitive Psychology and who can contribute to the Neuroscience Program. Doctoral degree in Psychology or closely-related discipline is required by the start date. The hired candidate must demonstrate: (1) a commitment to (a) undergraduate teaching, (b) the active involvement of undergraduate students in research, and (c) diversity, equity, and inclusion, and (2) expertise in human-subject neuroscientific research. Teaching load is typically 6 courses per academic year and may vary depending on Senior Project advising. Courses taught might include Foundations of Neuroscience, Foundations of Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Statistical Methods, Research Methods, and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars as part of their teaching load. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarship, and professional development.
